How fun is that? I have these pencils that I made for my daughter’s back to school fun. I like to decorate her glue sticks with washi tape and now her pencils I made a wrap. Of course the schools have you buy a ton of them right off the bat and I have to have a ton at home too. So I made this for her pencil jar…
Here is a close up of the wraps using jute and twine to finish them off! How cute!
Something special for you if you want to give it a try you can download the free printableSAMPLES OF WRAPS to make your own with Juliana and Traci’s kit they made together, as their Future is So Bright. All you have to do is cut them apart, I used regular copy paper to print them on as cardstock was to think to stick. ATG away and wrap it up! Lots of fun goodies in there!
It feels like it has been forever since I did anything with paper that wasn’t digital. I owed a friend a huge thank you and made this simple but nice card for her.
I can’t say I made the butterfly but I do love it. A friend sent it to me from one of our hops, a magnet hop. The butterfly is a refrigerator magnet or whatever you like to use them on. I did take some digital paper made a background and made my sentiment, a little twine and a nice message inside. I am just thrilled to post something I made with my own hands! I love it!
Just a bit here and there with my daughter, things get busy this time of year but I did take the time out to make my daughter a pencil holder since she goes through a pencil a day.
I made this with a Folgers coffee can. I have posted this type of thing before from last year, this time hot glueing a little ribbon to the top, from My Life in Arts n Crafts Facebook page, she sells her twine jute and ribbon there. I used DCWV page from one of their last year’s holiday stacks! Fun Fun, can’t wait to craft again!
In the mean time I thought I would pop in and say hi! I am still here, got our Christmas tree up today. We are the kind of people who don’t decorate til later because we like the tree to stay alive til’ New Year’s day. I have some gift giving crafts I can’t post just yet, but will sure do!
Well I didn’t think it would happen but it is coming to an end with my dear friend’s little design team and her big dreams with Jessi’s My life in Arts n Crafts
Looking in my drawer full of twine, jute and other ribbons I will continue posting projects to give you inspiration as she is not closing her open Facebook group so you can still lurk, drool or buy any of her products she is continuing to selling.
Today’s hop is about
So this is what I came up with!
Using her blue and white twine made the perfect simple card. With the stamped embellishment I picked up at a yard sale… Nothing fancy but turned out great!
It is sad to not have my every other Tuesday to post anymore. A reason to craft, a push that you want even when you don’t want to, I always had a back up so
here are a couple of extra projects I never did get to post..
I made this card with my daughter for a mom and daughter crafty day.
I also made this when she first sent it but I had already posted another candle wrap.
Unfortunately there are a couple of products I never got to use but once she bounces back I will be there for her and still continuing to post throughout. I actually have a few lined up for some near future posts. Some of my favorite projects are with her products that she introduced me to. If you are a subscriber you know I am a simple crafter just put it together with a little style. I wish her luck, as she is in college full-time and really needs to keep her focus on that but not totally giving up she still has her Facebook group to sell to. So go ahead and join on in.
If you are not a subscriber stick around for the inspiration I have given for her Design Team posts. I am glad that she got me into this and introduced me into something new for my crafting in the last year. I will be forever grateful.
Thank you Jessi!
(I apologize that my slideshow has duplicate images on some but I am not sure how to fix it without redoing the whole thing, enjoy!!)
Well spring is upon us and as I have said recently that I am itching for the bright colors of spring about this time of year. I love the bright pastel mixes with the bolder colors, and here I have created it with Jessi’s twine and ribbon from her Etsy shop at
It is just the basic card but with the striped ribbon of yellow going with the polkadot background. I drew a little flower in Photoshop and circled it with a PS brush, printed and was going to cut with a cameo, but decided to fiskar punch it. Very simple and easy, 5. x 4.5 card. If you like that jute and ribbon head on over to Jessi’s blog for more inspiration and check out her project, they are usually very amazing and well worth the trip. Plus she gives a coupon code every Tuesday for those who would like to purchase some! We don’t know how long that coupon code will last so grab it up now while you can!
I surely hope you have enjoyed this post and gave you inspiration for a quick and easy card on the fly, but yet very pretty. I would love for you to subscribe to my blog if you would like future updates, just add your email in the box at the top right of the side bar and I can come right to you! Dont’ worry, I don’t post a bunch so I wont’ spam you a way!
Have a wonderful week! I am hoping to be crafty this week being on vacation and all but those kids and family keep me going with baseball games, yard work, and more…! I am good with that though cause I Love my family more then my craftiness, so that is ALOT!
If you have stumbled upon the hop and would like to start from the beginning we have the full line up below to help you navigate through.
So let’s get started… I really love banners on layouts and cards. I love to make short ones too for like a little girls room with her name on it. I think they are as cute as can be. Here I used DCWV Sunshine stack, and Sunny day’s Stack as well. They had banners in the stack that I cut out and just added random papers to fill. I used some twine for the banner, it is funny because I cut the banner from below out and then made another layout with the left overs from the first banner! I think these little tiny ones are as cute as can be!
I may have shown the Graduate pictures before I don’t recall doing a layout but if I do find one, this was preschool graduation, I can just fill in with Kinder graduation instead! I love the way these layouts turned out. I have a tutorial on how to photograph your layouts on my pages, but this time I did completely opposite! Since buying the scrap-n-easel, it made it so easy to have it at the right level and take a great photo while it is attached flat to the easel
