So Many Crafts, So Little time“.

If you have never hopped before it is fun and inspiring, so grab your favorite drink and stay awhile for these inspirational valentine projects that are linked one after another.  I have provided a layout sketch and a card sketch for the team to go with, and have them show you their take on how they will interpret  this piece of art.  They only have to one or the other, I chose to do both, stick around for the blog candy that I am giving away for those who have stopped by.  Here are the sketches..

                                 layoutsketch       cardSketch

Now for my inspirational take on these.

I was so excited to find this sketch.  it would give me a chance to doodle away.  So I made the doodles on each side, added some ribbon from My Life In Arts n Crafts Facebook group and a pic  of my daughter’s valentine card I made that year, a loooong time ago!

Then I was soooo excited that I had to make the card too!

I had some left over digital products from a project I did and couldn’t resist using them, and not wasting them.  I gave it to my kids, they loved it so much they smashed it!  Arggh!  (not on purpose)

We all appreciate you stopping by and checking out all the projects, we all love that comment lovin’ so please feel free if you like even if it was just to let us know you were here!  We love visitors too!

Just for stopping by I would love for you to have this PNG file to download

I had to upload it to MediaFire or you would have problems downloading it with the pin it button and all, and it is rather large for you to resize any size you need.  Thank you so much for stopping by and here is you line up to help you navigate through..

Here is what the sketch inspired me to make..

I felt like doing something spring that day so I gathered my scraps and added a little this and that from some packs.. The main pattern paper here is the the DCWV bloom stack.  I just love it, now I just need a picture to fill it with.  Cutting everything out by hand and or fiskar’s trimmer all those scraps covered the 4 round circles I had to cover up I made in the background page turned out pretty good for a scrapbook layout using scraps.  No waist here, that is for sure!  I can’t even give you formulas because it was just cutting with my chopper, I believe I cut the flags at 1 1/2 and then cut the flower out by hand for the embelishment right off the scraps I had.  Pretty neat I thought!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, the

next stop is with Cilicly at Pink Dalmation Scrapper

Thank God for Fridays!

Because Thursday nights I get to craft!  Better yet, if I can make another 8 hours tomorrow, I will be on the weekend like nobody’s business!   So I just made a simple Thank You Card just for fun.  I absolutely LOVE this DCWV the Bella Armoire stack.  It’s a bit of a close up but I took the picture with my iPhone and had to crop in…

I was going through my inspiration folder and thought I had made one like this before, they all look the same to me after awhile because I don’t venture out much from the sentiment and a ribbon but I liked it.  As as I was going through the stack they had a page of 6×6 squares, I cut them down to 3 x 5.25 (well the bottom pattern was a full sheet but that is the measurement for each pattern paper.)   I thought I had a light pink ribbon on hand but didn’t so I used the cream color ribbon.  Printed sentiment and wala done.   The base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.  The layer of ribbon going across is doubled so you can’t see through then a bow pop dotted on where every I liked.  I wish I knew who to give credit to but unfortunatly it was just a saved image for inspiration without a signature.

Wait!  There is more news!  I do not have the Scrapbook Stamp Society winner yet to announce but I do have my blog candy winner to announce.

Drum roll please….

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a fun-filled weekend with alot of creativity, and now more inspiration for you to fill your scrapbooks with or make new cards for your loved ones, friends and more.   I am your host today Lissa Marie, providing a layout sketch, and our Co-Host is Ellen at CardMonkey’s Paper Jungle, providing a card sketch for the girls to choose from which one they would like to do, or they can choose both.  I am very excited to see what they come up with, what they choose and how they choose to use it.

Here is the sketch I provided for them…

711613_458971304163144_775458943_nI thought wowza that is gonna be a tough one, but I think they can do it.

This is how interpreted mine.

I have chosen to do both since I am the host.. Here is the card sketch Ellen provided.

Now here is my take on the card

How fun is that, could can do many things with sketches. I love the challenge!

Well now for the goodies, I am giving away some digital works for one lucky winner.  A scrapbook layout, a fb timeline banner, business cards, or a  blog button, I am flexible of what your digital needs are.  It will be winners choice of what they would like me to do, I create it, send it to the winner and they can print it or use it as their own on their blog, whatever they want to do with it.  My own requirement to win my blog candy is to be a follower/subscriber through email or network blogs (on the sidebar) and to leave a comment, if you are a current subscriber  you will have to need to comment with the corresponding address you subscribed with.

In addition to that scrapbookstampsociety is our sponsor this month

They are giving away 3 sets of stamps to one lucky winner that comments on all blogs and it is your option to subscribe to all the blogs in the hop but to gain an extra entry you can subscribe to their blog at  ADDICTED TO STAMPS and let us know that you did.  Again, be sure your email coordinates with the one you used to comment on so we can contact you.

Be Happy

Well I was sorting through my scraps and every time I do, darn it … I get inspired!   I had seen that my friend Pam had joined this challenge for Pink and Brown when I came across this plad paper I just knew I could do something with it, that isn’t Halloween.  Then I thought of the sketch I did on a paper the other day, and sorta went with the idea but it turned out totally different then the sketch.  Here is remake of my original sketch just playing around in Photoshop and my bamboo create.  It was late so I never colored it or even made it fancy…

So last night with my creative flow going, tired as can be, I ended up with this…

while sorting scraps.

I am a simple  , I had bought my daughter a Heidi Grace paper pack so we could put flowers together last summer and never did anything but puch out the die cuts and put them in an envelope.  So I shuffle through those and get a brad for the center.  Looking around for some ribbon I had this tan paper Raffia on the desk, I seem to be using that alot lately, and the same sentiment, BE happy because I am determined to at least put a smile on someone’s face.  The perfect card for any occasion.  “Be Happy, it’s almost friday”.. was my paper draft, lol.

In the flower it has many quotes like family, memories, laughter cute, forever, love and more.. It makes me think of the 30 days of thanks that people are doing all over Facebook.  When I think of this, I just feel so thankful for my family.  We may be wacky and I may be a little crazy but we all love each other and love to be around each other.  I am thankful for my extended family as well, life is to short not to appreciate what you have not what you don’t have.

Well I hope you are having a fun-filled weekend.  I have just been taking the day off and it feels goooood.  Today my son’s last game of football ended in playoffs, it was so sad he wasn’t really moping around but could tell he was bummed.  He said, “mom will you make me a card?”  I said, “huh???” with a confused look.  My 13 yr old son asking ME to make him a card???!)  He said,” I just want something with our team name and number on it so he can remember that this was the best season ever”, any sport he has ever played.  My heart went out to him.  I am brewing up something, I hope he likes it.

I would love to hear what you have to say if you would like to COMMENT, or if you are new here and stumbled upon this blog, you can take a peak at some of my projects and if you like what you see you can subscribe and I will come right to your inbox.

Day 2 of our Octoberfest blog hop from our the Krazy Crafting Crew

Today is the second day of our hop.. if this is your first visit please scroll down below and see yesterdays projects as well and take a little time to win some blog candy! The full line up will be at the bottom of the post, in one click you will find yourself at Jearise’s blog she is our host this month at Lorby’s World then you are on your way!

I make my Sunday’s post quick and easy for the both of us, so I will get straight to the projecta…I actally have two cor you today.   Here is the cirat one ..

I have never ever heat embossed before. Until I met my new online friend Sher.  We were talking away about stamps and stuff and I had this one name brand stamp she mentioned.  I looked it up and sure enough it was that brand.

So here I start looking around and sure enough I had it!  She told me about the heat embossing tool, embsossing powder and pigment ink.  So it was a thursday evening and friday was payday!  My friday treat with coupons!  This is my attempt.  Knowing nothing really at all about coloring, I used Close to my Heart water color pencils  that I had bought at a yardsale, and a blending pen.  I don’t know how heavy I will ever get into coloring but it is always fun to learn a new technique!

Here is my next project, a layout of my son at his game.   I was sooo pleased with this one.  I opened up a picture of him tackling/blocking someone and enlarged it in photoshop, faded it out and printed it on a tan colored card stock with my Epson R200.   Then added more card stock, a real photo and used a gell pen for the dashed linrs    Inking the edges in brown  I fell in love with the whe layout!

I hope you have enjoyed thiese projects today. Next in line is Ellen at

Card Monkey’s Paper Jungle

She was also this month’s featured designer on my blog last Tuesday! She is amazing with her colors as well as other members of our Krazy Crafting Crew!

If you would like to comment I would love to hear what you have to say, I feel I need a sentiment added to the card but that will come to me when the time comes to use it.
