Yes along with more product, more post so here we are with a little jute ribbon inspiration from My Life in Arts n Crafts Store. Today I am going for a little home decor, using the jute ribbon again, it is so pretty. I wrapped this candle with it, with two different colors and stuck a brad abovethe bow to give it a little more interest, I also love perals.
I just love my beautiful candle!
It looks very Valentinish as the holiday is approaching! If you would like to do a little home decor like this, Jessi has some in her Etsy Shop ready to order, she also has other kinds of jute, twine and more. If you would like to see more inspirational projects with her line she is only a click away at www.mylifeinartsncrafts.com.
Sew – A needle pulling thread; unless of course you’re a crafter. That’s when sewing becomes more than a needle pulling thread. It becomes whatever your mind can conceive and to show this, I have a great bunch of ladies with projects that show their INDIVIDUAL take on what “Anything Stitched” means.
If you came from L. Miriam –http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com you are in the right spot. I hope you will hop along with us today to see what these carfters have stitched up to show off. Your hostess, Jearise in Lorby’s World is the beginning so please start there. She has a wonderful little gift for one lucky winner and all you have to do is hop through and leave a note on her blog and become a follower if you’re not one already.
I have just made a very simple layout with my usual DCWV stack, this one is the homespun mat stack and the awesome 12×12 textured stack for the background. it has been while since I took out my sewing machine and just went for it on my pretty paper without practicing first, I don’t think I will do that again but it still turned out ok. Lots of journaling room and cute little fiskar butterfly punches. Using Twine from My life in arts n’ crafts to tie the final touch of a button. I know I am out of season but if others can do Christmas in July I can do Easter in July! lol.. seriously going through the pics, even though my son isn’t looking up, I wanted him in the layout. Oh so long ago, time flies.
Even though the layout is simple, it is ok with me. I am a simple girl but I can say this isn’t my best.
Thank you SEW much for hopping by today. I do not have any candy today but I surely would enjoy your subscripton or a simple comment to let me know what you like or dislike about my layout.. If you don’t see the reply button on the bottom of the post it will be at the top, depending what browser you are using. If you would like to subscribe by email or network blogs it is at the top right of the post. I blog for the love of showing off the fun stuff!
My 5-year-old has a play date coming up and I am going to go to the dollar store to let her pick out a princess necklace for her friend. She just graduated PreSchool and won’t see her friend again, how sad so we are going to bring something nice for her to give…
I hope you have enjoyed this project, I posted a short tut on it a couple post down, you just do the same for the top, just make the measurements a little bigger, nice snuggly fit. If you would like to make a comment you can scroll to the top of the post for the comment section. Have a fabulous weekend!
but worth sharing… today I went into my favorite copy shop, it is a shop ran by one guy, and I just think this guy is awesome! He totally ROCKS. He has been giving me his left over scraps for some time now, off an on I will come in and see what he has. He says he “likes my style” How sweet is that? All he had today was some strips of colored paper. He cut them down for me (what a doll) and we talked about ideas of what to do with them. So I came home as I was trying to figure out the bills and such I kept it in the back of my mind so I started to play. I found a mat stack that matched perfectly. I love those book binders so I made a little scratch pad.
I actually matted the front with one of the papers in the stack! I just love it! I always need to remember something so here I can write it down, keep it or tear it out. I make them with glue, I also use the Cinch but this is a new approach and I can test it to see how it will go. The ring snaps open so I can tear it off or rearrange my papers in order if I ever need to.. So this will be fun to use for awhile until I come up with another bright idea.
Hope you have enjoyed this post and have a wonderful day!
Welcome or welcome back to Day 2 of the Flowers, Flowers everywhere Flowers hop! I always make my Sunday post quick and painless for the both of us so the viewers can get through the posts quickly. I am happy to have you hear and hope that you will enter to win the blog candy I have posted for the weekend. I love giving away my digital graphics, so make sure you read the rules to enter. Every blog has their own rules as well, but this hop does not require that you comment on every blog to win. We like your lovin’ because that is why we are here, to inspire and be inspired.
Ok, off with the soap box and I am going to show you my first attempt to making real paper flowers. I am almost embarrassed to show you after what I have seen from these girls, but I am still loving’ my little flowers I intended making for my daughter but they were such a pain, I kept them for myself. LoL
Here is take two I like to leave a spot on my hutch for my crafts, the rest of it is filled with stacks and storaged scrapbook stuff.
This hop has inspired me to buy a flower project cartridge, because I just cut these out with my fiskar scissors in a spiral and rolled them up. I didn’t know how to glue them well. I used colorful pipe cleaner things from the dollar store for the centers and stems. My Life in Arts and Crafts she is the 8th blog on the list, she has a wonderful video tutorial on this right under our hop.
Again, thank you for stopping by I would love to hear your comments, any tips will be helpful too. Her is the line up for you in case you need to navigate.
I hope you enjoy the hop. Did I mention that I am giving away digital graphics for blog candy? See Day 1 for details if you haven’t. You do not have to comment both days, but on both post, I love a good critique! If you use a different email than what you comment with, please shoot me an email through kontact me on the side bar so you don’t get left out.
Yes it is the beginning of the month again, it comes up on us so quickly. Welcome to our Flowers, Flowers, everywhere Flowers Hop. We are having some fun showing off anything that has to do with the beauty and colors of spring. Kick back and enjoy, some of us will be having some blog candy and all of us will have great inspiration.
I will begin with the blog line up in case you get lost or want to review a project over again, you can always come back here as your links will open in its own tab.
So for my project today, my frames have been very popular I thought I would redo them AGAIN, and I do apologize you can’t see the little ones well but I have done the Spring Theme.
Oh how lucky I am,
getting to show the world my cluttery space!
I used the DCWV Flower Shower stack to decorate the frames, the vinyl project was already there. I have a huge hole in my wall from some electrical thing where the top frame is on the left. NOONE hangs pics that high, so I had to get creative and figure out a way to cover it. Some day it will come to me and be more tactful. If you have any ideas I would LOVE to hear them from my awesome crafty friends!
So… onto your next stop with Card Monkey, she ALWAYs has awesome inspiration! Along with the rest of the team!
Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to enter for the blog candy!
P.S. I hope you have enjoyed my new blog layout. I hated the other and didn’t know how to customize it to my graphics, I finally found a way, now I am loud and proud because it is MY design. It’s a little pink but I will play with it now that I know how.
