If you have stumbled upon the hop and would like to start from the beginning we have the full line up below to help you navigate through.
So let’s get started… I really love banners on layouts and cards. I love to make short ones too for like a little girls room with her name on it. I think they are as cute as can be. Here I used DCWV Sunshine stack, and Sunny day’s Stack as well. They had banners in the stack that I cut out and just added random papers to fill. I used some twine for the banner, it is funny because I cut the banner from below out and then made another layout with the left overs from the first banner! I think these little tiny ones are as cute as can be!
I may have shown the Graduate pictures before I don’t recall doing a layout but if I do find one, this was preschool graduation, I can just fill in with Kinder graduation instead! I love the way these layouts turned out. I have a tutorial on how to photograph your layouts on my pages, but this time I did completely opposite! Since buying the scrap-n-easel, it made it so easy to have it at the right level and take a great photo while it is attached flat to the easel
Yes along with more product, more post so here we are with a little jute ribbon inspiration from My Life in Arts n Crafts Store. Today I am going for a little home decor, using the jute ribbon again, it is so pretty. I wrapped this candle with it, with two different colors and stuck a brad abovethe bow to give it a little more interest, I also love perals.
I just love my beautiful candle!
It looks very Valentinish as the holiday is approaching! If you would like to do a little home decor like this, Jessi has some in her Etsy Shop ready to order, she also has other kinds of jute, twine and more. If you would like to see more inspirational projects with her line she is only a click away at www.mylifeinartsncrafts.com.
Today is the second day of our friendship hop starting the week off with ideas for you to make a card for a friend. May it be your husband, your best friend we are here to inspire you! If you have stumbled upon the hop and would like to start from the beginning please start with Jessi at My life in Arts n Crafts, (she has blog candy too) If you got here from Melissa’s Blog Blissfully Chaotic you are in the right spot to keep hoppin’ along.
Our family recently took a trip to the beach, for us it is a 5 hour drive, not lucky like some to live by one.. I was having a gloomy day one day just before we left and made this card. All I could think about was the big waters.
I fell in love with the card once I figured out where I was going with it. I just wanted to sail away, far far away. I am sure everyone feels that way one time or another but really have no intentions of doing it, well we can always close our eyes a call it our happy place.
Using Jessi ‘s My life in Arts and Crafts twine from her store an a home decor cartridge. Along with a cuttlebug folder and plain cardstock. To top it off with a button. Just looking at the card makes me want to sail away!
I have some blog candy from yesterday for those who are followers through email or network blogs, and comment on both days of the hop gives you an entry. I am giving away the Rock Princess embossed folder, it would have been fun to use on yesterday’s card, to late now. If you would like to comment you can do so here, and to follow just go to the top right of the post and choose which way you would like to follow!
I hope you have enjoyed our projects and hug a friend a day to show you really do appreciate them!
If you saw my post earlier this week I spent a night and took 6-8 coordinating papers and just started scrapping away. I love to do this to see how much I can make with what I have. Making layouts, cards, bookmarks, anything with those papers only, not mixing in any other papers with what I am doing. Twine or buttons, ribbon or any embellishment is ok, but my favorite layouts are quick and easy ones so I can feel like I got something done.
So this was a part of my scrapmaina night… adding to the card and layout collection yet to be posted.
I am in the process of printing little photos for the less patterned paper then one big one for the middle well 3×3 would be big for this layout. Tasty treats. Fun in the sun it’s summer time here!
