I know I am not the only mom who likes to color like a little girl…

I promise I have been crafting away but not sharing to save it for one amazing post!  Getting ready for my first post with Just Jaimee at the LilyPad Designs, as part of her hybrid team I am excited to show you what I have made coming up on Sunday!  I also started something new, as I walked into my daughter’s school, the receptionist had this awesome scarf on, I ran down to JoAnn’s and bought all the materials to make it, in the process of making 8 of them!  Here is a little piece of it, since my kids made me make Seahawk Player football dolls, lol.  They saw this in the Seattle Times and went nuts!  So here is my Saturday craft before the game against the Panthers.  Wooo Hoooo we kicked some butt!  Excited for this weekend to see how it’s going to go, it’s pretty intense here in Washington State!  I made the Russell Wilson doll since Collin begged me to download it and my husband kept teasing me that if he poked the Russell doll if he would feel it!  lol but I know he would never because Russell Wilson Rocks!  Earl Thomas was in there too, he was the cutout in the newspaper.  So I made one each for the kids!

Oh does that look like Sherman taking the man down?  I can’t recall who it was but it was a GREAT game!  Go Hawks!

So anyway, I post a better picture of the scarves I made later, then got on a serious want and bought my first brand new sewing machine.  I don’t count the little Janome that I have, I need power!  So I bought a Singer 3325, I was told it would take care of anything I need.  I am not a Suzy home maker but once and while I like a change of pace and plan to make my boy some jamma bottoms.  Yep, fleece baseballs all over them, boy do I know how to pick out the material!  LOL

GirlinPinkI like to go to Pinterest and download free digi stamps then color them in.  It’s fun and makes the time go by fast! Weather it is on my phone or tablet, I love coloring. I was drawing some for awhile but I really need to get back to that.  I loved this girl, she was to cute!  I love using the shading, blending and all that.  Using PS Touch App or sometimes Sketchbook Pro.  So worth the little of the cost!

Then here are a couple little love birds!

Nope I am not a copics girl or traditional colors I love my digital coloring and will stick with that!  Makes for great cards, printed out with a nice sentiment.  Hope to see you again soon, Sunday for sure!  If you are into Project Life or any kind of pocket page style scrapping, you won’t want to miss this, or into hybrid, or book binding at all, you really don’t won’t want to miss out on Sunday’s post!

Happy Crafting!

Just a birthday card

I thought I would show you the birthday card I made for a co-worker coming up this week.  I drew this on my Samsung Note tablet in PS Touch, then I saved it as a PNG, sent it to myself, uploaded it into the Silhouette software for a print and cut.  After cutting out the elements, added some bling.   Using twine for the balloon string.   I thought it was kinda cute!

I used a cute paper out of DCWV for a background prop.  I hope you enjoy this quick cute idea!

Hi, I just thought I would share a card I made today.  I have been very sad for a long time co-worker that is in the process of loosing her husband.  This weekend I believe she was moving him into the cottage, where people spend their last days.  I don’t talk to her much about it but I sure feel for her.  Many years of marriage and about to retire soon. I couldn’t imagine how she feels.  I have known to many women who have lost their husband through the years, it only makes me appreciate mine more because I worry every day one day he will be gone too.

I love to digital color either on my phone or tablet.  I did this in an app called Sketchbook Pro on my Galaxy tablet, I have the app on all my devices, phone, and my Nexus since I love to color and draw so much.  I downloaded the free coloring page from a google search, and I believe I brought it into another app called Photoshop Touch to get rid of the white background.  I can color the entire image in that app but I prefer Sketchbook since I have used it longer.  That is one downfall that program has, if I can do that I am not sure how.  If it is an easy trace I can just add a layer and turn down the opacity on the top layer and redraw it by tracing then delete the original layer, rather than switching programs back and forth.  I give all credits to the free coloring pages though cause this is basically their image.  I just color away.  So anyway, I believe I saved it as a PNG file and brought it to the Silhouette and cut it out.  I love how it turned out.  Sadly not for the reason it was being made.  So I thought I would share my fun with you if you like to color too.   Shading is a breeze.  I did outline with a color pen just because I didn’t think of it before.

On a lighter note here is a couple more free color pages I made…

Gotta Love SUPERMAN!   I hope you have enjoyed this post and give Sketchbook a try.  Love it!  They have a free version available to try before you buy but then Photoshop Touch is a pretty good one too.  Lately it’s been to hot here to do much else but stay OUT of the heat!  I haven’t even been on my computer hardly at all because it’s just to dang hot!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

What a wonderful weekend.

We had planned on going out of town Friday, but ended up deciding to spend our time together with just us as a family.  It was so needed more than I realized.  We tend to get wrapped up in the busy life then the extended family celebrations and more then end up exhausted.  So Friday we had an awesome day just hanging together, spent the morning with my family in the same room with them, lol…  I bought a book of questions for conversation, brought that out and and after hearing some of his answers other than all the answers about the super mega million, I learned even more about how much he loves me.   then out shopping with hubby and kids for me a fishing pole, I wanted my own.  I got a nice deep red and black ugly stick pole, very nice.  Came home barbiqued steak, the best ever. Then off to the firework show.

Now I am off and on with how much I love to fish, I don’t mind throwing the reel, reeling it in and taking care of it or even baiting the hook, or cleaning the fish but sometimes I think I am giving him the favor of being there just so he can fish with two poles!  That way I can play, take care of the little one and get rid of my nausea after the car ride of winding roads. So I sat on my but and created on my tablet, took pics of the kids of course.  Collin was the only one to catch a little silver but that is ok, the day couldn’t have been more perfect in lack of the car sickness.

In the meantime I had downloaded an image from a coloring page.  Digitally colored it in, now that I am home went to print it to put it on a card but then got carried away just adding things to it digitally just to visualize, now it looks like a great email to send to my husband next week out of the blue.  He is such a doll, he is an amazing man.  He is the only one for me, no matter how times and trials can get ugly in a marriage, he will always be the one for me even if I am rolling my eyes at the time and I know he loves me and the kids more than he loves his self.  As he really rolls his eyes because we are the crazy ones!  LOL

Enough of the sap… Here is my image I colored in on my Nexus and printed then went all the way… I wasn’t sure if I should put a heart or an anchor!  LOL

Well thanks for you time to see the inspiration.  Digital coloring is amazing sometimes.  We are not little kids but we surely are big kids!  I just know that he is the only one for me.

Just a little birthday card…. hybrid

Unfortunately my “cut” part is out-of-order so this ended up hand cut, and in a hurry at that.  Trying to take the best care for my sick daughter and make 2 birthday cards for two very important people.  Dad’s isn’t so fancy so I won’t show that yet!  Even though it took more time resorting to the Cricut, yes it was that bad that I had to pull out my Cricut for Dad’s birthday card for my daughter to give to her father.  Poor thing was sick as can be and I am always have technical trouble.

I grabbed a freebie element from a kit from Amber Shaw, “Garden Party” through pixels and company I believe.  I used washi tape and extra cardstock to make the strips a little sentiment and some of that crazy paper ribbon stuff. Embossing the background with flowers.  The worst part was inking it.  I don’t have many good inks so the ones I do have uggggh.  What matters is, she will LOVE it and she will really love what is to come after!  (Will show soon)

In addition to the card, I have some new news for you!  If you love SVG files, you will love the inspiration I will be bringing every other Friday for Snap Dragon Snippets Design Team, at the blog 3under3andmore.  They have over 3000 files for me to help inspire you with files and ideas in the Silhouette store, hope you love it!

Have a great day!

I finally made a card!

It feels like it has been forever since I did anything with paper that wasn’t digital.  I owed a friend a huge thank you and made this simple but nice card for her.

Butterfly Card

I can’t say I made the butterfly but I do love it.   A friend sent it to me from one of our hops, a magnet hop.  The butterfly is a refrigerator magnet or whatever you like to use them on.  I did take some digital paper made a background and made my sentiment, a little twine and a nice message inside.   I am just thrilled to post something I made with my own hands!  I love it!

Thanks for taking a peek!
