loveStruck

If you have never hopped before it is fun and inspiring, so grab your favorite drink and stay awhile for these inspirational valentine projects that are linked one after another.  I have provided a layout sketch and a card sketch for the team to go with, and have them show you their take on how they will interpret  this piece of art.  They only have to one or the other, I chose to do both, stick around for the blog candy that I am giving away for those who have stopped by.  Here are the sketches..

Now for my inspirational take on these.

I was so excited to find this sketch.  it would give me a chance to doodle away.  So I made the doodles on each side, added some ribbon from My Life In Arts n Crafts Facebook group and a pic  of my daughter’s valentine card I made that year, a loooong time ago!

Then I was soooo excited that I had to make the card too!

I had some left over digital products from a project I did and couldn’t resist using them, and not wasting them.  I gave it to my kids, they loved it so much they smashed it!  Arggh!  (not on purpose)

We all appreciate you stopping by and checking out all the projects, we all love that comment lovin’ so please feel free if you like even if it was just to let us know you were here!  We love visitors too!

Just for stopping by I would love for you to have this PNG file to download

I had to upload it to MediaFire or you would have problems downloading it with the pin it button and all, and it is rather large for you to resize any size you need.  Thank you so much for stopping by and here is you line up to help you navigate through..

Hello friend, Hybrid Card

IMG_3577Hi this is Lissa here, showing you a little hybrid work on what you can do with Julianna’s wonderful digital elements, from the Sweet Shoppe Designs.  Today I have made a friendship card, I loved the idea of using her butterfly and making it 3D.  There were so many elements in her kit “A friend like you” it was hard to choose what to put on the card!

I used the standard 4.5×5 card, and just started adding the elements that I wanted into the Silhouette DE software.  Yes, you do not have to have additional software to make these beautiful elements to print and cut.  I arranged them just so, then printed with the registration marks showing, then put the paper into the Cameo Silhouette.  I just LOVE my machine!  When the cut was all done I took an Xacto knife and cut into the rose to add a layered look.  Now I love my machine even more doing hybrid things… oh I have a really good project for you next month to excited not to bust it out!  Not just a card or a layout.  It is something fun fun fun!  So stay tuned to Julianna’s blog for details.

DYI Hybrid Project for Julianna Kneipp Designs. Card making idea

Hi this is Lissa here and I am here to show you a quick way to make a card featuring

 Julianna’s “Lights, Camera, Action” Kit

First I just added elements onto a blank 4×6 canvas into Photoshop, It took about 4 photo papers because I wanted to print extra elements,  if I needed.  Once I made the canvas in PS, I added the background to one page, then elements onto the canvas &  filled it with the other pages. I started with making the movie cards then elements, resizing them very small to fit many on a 4×6.  Planning to cut them with my cameo but decided it was faster to do by hand.   Using some double sided foam tape I randomly put on some of the images for dimension.  Pretty easy to do, then just randomly started adding the elements.  Love the card, hubby will enjoy it since we really need a “Date” night right now!  All in all once the idea was set it took me about an hour to make this little card that is just fun to look at!  It’s much different then I am use to, this could get to be a new addiction! Why don’t you give it a try?  Love Love Love it!

Thanks for tuning in for this tutorial, when I do one for Julianna I have to share  here too and show it off!  I would love to see yours, or help anyone out if you need it!

You can check out Julianna’s blog HERE or find her at the Sweet Shoppe Designs, the best digital scrapbooking place on the net!  What an an honor it is to be on her team!

The Krazy Crafting Crew is at it again with Gift card holders.. perfect time of year!

gcholders

Well, it’s that time of the year for gift gifting… and for many families that begins with the Thanksgiving holiday if you’re trying to fit in all the families on both sides and extended ones.. so we’ve put together a great hop today with plenty of ideas to make those gift cards look like a million bucks! I personally love gift cards… no hassle in returns, wrong sizes, etc. and with the ability to buy cards for even Visa and/or MasterCard, how could your gift even be considered to be re-gifted!

They will surely find something they want or need..

For hopping today, we have a gift for some lucky person. A 17.95 value Close To My Heart Merry and Bright Holiday Stamp set. You’ll have a great little set to make your Holiday cards, gift tags, or other decor.  A winner will be chosen by Nov. 6th so I can get this in the mail and off to the winner in plenty of time!.

How to win? Comment on each blog and show our creative team some love please! If you’re not a follower, you might want to be… this group does a hop every first Sunday so you won’t want to miss what’s in store! Be sure to leave a way to contact you as well!

Now let’s get hopping! If you havent already, starting at Janet’s Creative World is where it all begins and those awesome stamps are up for grabs!

For today’s hop, I planned on something spectacular but as usual I end up with something simple and quick but classy I like to think.  I could have added a monogram or a scalloped circle with “A gift for you” but I am pretty simple and quick.  I can choose this to be vertical or horizontal.  Just slip off the ribbon and have a gift card waiting for any occasion.   Just pick your papers to your liking.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!  I have made many many many gift card holders, and would like to say they are in my project portfolio but I must have missed those when uploading, now my Scrap Diva Drive has crashed, sniff sniff… and will have to wait to see if she gets better after my husband tries to get what he can off of it.  (A 1 terabyte external drive, hurts!)

I love to inspire, and show off these little easy projects that are useful for anyone to make!  If you are interested in seeing more of my projects I would Love Love Love for you to subscribe by email and I will come straight to your inbox!  You can do so by adding your email on the side bar, or scrolling down to the bottom of the page where the “Let Me Come to your Inbox” section is.  Then just add you email!  I would be delighted to see you join!

As far as the menu: All I did was cut a strip of cream color cardstock, offsetting the card so the fold isn’t even.  Then put panels around with a ribbon and some pretty little button embellishments.  So easy to do!  You can make this gift card holder vertical or horizontal, when you place the gift card in just use double-sided tape.  A little red tape is perfect for this!  Maybe a personal message printed on the inside doing a test run on a normal paper, line it up with and run it through the printer again. BEFORE adding the panels!   Just a tip!

(Posted last night woke up this morning to give you even more inspiration!)

I made this cute little thing too and got to busy to post.. they are from the online Sillouettte Store, little money card wallets!  How manly is that?  I LOVE IT!

Hybrid card tutorial

Hi this is Lissa here to do another hybrid tutorial for you, this time featuring a card I made in minutes.  This was a last-minute thing, knowing all month I had to do it but I wanted something special.  So in this event you will get to see a sneak preview I believe of pieces of her upcoming kit this weekend.   I am just the blogger writer, too sure!   Ooops!

here is the card I made with her kit

photo

I know so tiny I will try to add a bigger picture tomorrow.  To give you some details.  All I did was print her digital paper onto a 4×6 glossy paper.  Resizing it to fit proportionally for the card.  She had this beautiful charm I had to put my daughter in and add the word love and filling it with another paper background.  If I had time I would have done love as a print and cut but I ran out and am on E for the night.. I did print and cut the charm and used foam tape for the raised look and added some ribbon from My life in Arts n Crafts.

Hope to see you again soon!  Thanks for taking a peek!
