Hi this is Lissa Marie, here to do my first post for “Just Jaimee“! How exciting! I thought, “Oh what to do, what to do, as I had many things come to mind, at the last-minute I decided to go with this journal book for my project life, organization. Perfect timing at the beginning of the year!
I found a page template on Pinterest from last year, but I don’t know the blog I found it at, during my desperate search I didn’t find anything like I wanted for my new journal this year. So I got busy in PS and made one for my book pages, I sure wished I could share with you but I don’t have one for every week. I just typed in the week and printed on 8.5 x 14 paper, double sided. The important part is the fun embellishments that I made for the book. I love making books with scrap mat board, and binding them with the Cinch machine. I then printed out the cover with Jaimee’s designs on heavy card stock, and printed out some embellishments on glossy sticker paper to decorate it, leaving tabs f or quick stops and notes.
Pages to work on.
Extra tabs for bookmarking
The fun embellishments I added on the book.
I wished I could say I used my Silhouette Cameo, but I don’t have the settings down for this kind of sticker paper and ended up hand cutting them out. No biggy because many people don’t have a cameo and would have to do that anyway.
I hope you find this project useful and fun for your own kind of journals. I have made many with just lines and decorated them with digital elements! It is fun, now I have to stick to the plan on USING it! Jaimee gives me NO excuse NOT to scrapbook! I am so excited to be on her team, looking forward to bringing you alot of inspiration!
Today was a historical moment at our house, if you read the layout you will see. I love it just because my son can’t STAND to admit he likes the Seahawks but it’s a challenge for him to admit after all these years that he will like the Seahawks again. He has always been the opposite of what I say, I say black he says white I say chocolate he say vanilla and the kid LOVES chocolate! So this is a huge deal for us, and funnier than you can imagine in a post.
Journaling isn’t my strongest point in scrapbooking but there wasn’t enough room for this one to tell all but good enough! He will KILL me when he see’s this post! LOL What an evil mother I am!
Sorry 49’r fans. I still love having you all here too. It’s just a game to me. Fun and even more fun now that he is in high school ball. I am always asking questions about the game and what they do, so I can learn what the importance of his role is in the game. They said some awesome stuff about him in the banquet I was such a proud mom I wanted to stand up and cheer him on but I am sure he would have died of embarrassment. It started out how quiet he was… didn’t think they were talking about my boy at first then the coach went further and further more towards how he performed, by the end of the year he really pulled through. They had only 3 losses this whole year and he was a proud player to help be a winner. He didn’t make the basketball team but after the banquet I actually got him into weight training classes after school and that is going to really boost his confidence. Even better he is excited about something he planned on never doing! He needs it for his runner’s knee and he will be lookin’ good for all those girls I am gonna have to chase off until he is old enough! I am safe as long as sports are more important! Teens are a blast!
I hope you had a great crafty weekend too. Here we are trying to get ready for the holidays and it isn’t coming naturally for me. It been a challenging month on my favorite months to craft from Halloween to Valentines day but hopefully I get some more mojo and able to post more inspiration for you, for new layouts and projects. Have a wonderful week!
I have a photo booth app that we love to play with, today I wanted to be cheered on a grey day and take pictures of my sunshine. She always wants me to be her model so we made an agreement. Well those pics on her camera didn’t go so well, lol. I have many more of her that I will post soon because she did some super cute poses that reminds me of our favorite song, “All about the base” by Meghan Trainor. She is sooo adorable. This is probably a free download that I got somewhere in the years of scrappin’ I am sorry I don’t have the credits but I see Juno, “Let it go” It seemed perfect for this layout.
I love using multiple photos on a layout but maybe that is just my shooting style. I hope you have enjoyed my post.. I hope I have inspired you to use many on a layout, your kids need to have photos of you too for the future. It doesn’t seem important now but it really is. Until next time.
I am sad to see her go, as she is so talented and I feel so honored to have been on her team. She found me through a design team call but asked me if I wanted to be a blog writer instead. She had gone through my blog and she actually read some of the tutorials and looked into my blog before asking me to if I was interested, as she had plenty of designers to choose from. I was so complemented I felt like I was writing for this Brazilian rock star! Well at first I didn’t know she also does web design and got into photography professionally, the last couple of years of being on her team I have seen her photography grow tremendously. She has decided that all 3 are just to much and from personal experience I understand you can’t do it all. The photography is an addiction all on it’s own, and whole team is sad to see her leave designing kits. So I thought I would post her amazing sale. Just click on the image and it will take you to her Facebook page.
The layout I made for her to say good bye… It says it all..
All my terms have expired for all the teams I have been on, going solo for awhile, and will post when I can. I still love to create and will still post as I create until I find my next calling for some new great crafting inspiration!
Here is a recap of some inspiration projects I have posted on her blog along with the photography tutorials I have posted in my Photography for Beginners page
Hi this is Lissa Marie I am here to show you today a hybrid project that I made with Juliana Kneipp’s, “Camp your Adventure” Digital kit it comes in a bundle or you can buy them separately. But first of all I want to show you what I have made with this kit! I found this candy jar at a yard sale thinking I am going to etch something on this but then I was helping out another gal on the blogging team with a project she had planned and got carried away. I made the shape with the pen tool in Photoshop, then opened up the template (shown below), resized it and clipped it to the shape and started adding in papers and elements! Didn’t it just turn out fabulous? A little accent of ribbon gave it a pretty look, and printed out some journaling cards so I can have them available as I go, ready to put into the pocket pages! I do traditional and digital pocket pages, so this is a win win for me! Have those cards preprinted and write down those moments you don’t want to forget while you are still in the moment and store them for when you are ready to put them with your photos!
This was printed this on photo sticker paper so I can just stick it to the side, but I didn’t realize it wasn’t a flat surface until I had it printed so I used glue dots behind it which worked out just fine!
I also used her “alot of photos” template that she had up for iNSD. I am very pleased the way it turned out.I used the 3rd template shown here
Juliana would love for you to enjoy a printable download provided, I have changed the shape for you since this is not the usual shape you put on a jar or can, to accommodate other types of shaped holders. You can even use a coffee can if you like. I have made many pencil holders and such for things like this. Use your imagination it goes far! You can get even more freebie kits and templates on Julianna’s Blog, she has tons of giveaways if you didn’t already grab them from iNSD!
