Welcome to the KCC blog hop – Anything goes is the theme today

Jan2014BlogButton

Here we are in a New Year and all new projects for the hop.  Today Robin Lane will be hosting from Create a Latte, with the New Year,  “Anything Goes” would be a great way to start.  Do you like paper crafts, making cookies, crocheting or making pillows?  Really anything goes for more fun and inspiration for us ladies who love to bake and do other things then paper crafts!

This is what I have for you today, a little story to start.  I started crafting 13 years ago making memory books for my son, then I got pregnant 7 years ago and got my first Cricut, I easily discovered what is beyond scrapbooking and went straight into paper crafts.  Now 7 years later I am sad to be so far behind, as my daughter consistently begs for a baby album of herself.  So I am going to try and dedicate my heart out to making some great albums for her and getting caught up on her scrapbooks, and mix family album.  I have printed the last 7 years as 3.5×5’s so the photo inserts won’t work for the last 7 years.  I will have to either do traditional or digital.  So one night I started in, made it a late night then when I woke up I just kept at it.  It is going to take me forever and a day because this is only one month, the month she turned two and I still don’t have the month finished.  I threw in a couple pages that I don’t think have been displayed yet.  I don’t have her 2 year birthday party done or anything.  So here it goes…it filled a starter album!

I was chosen to be a guest designer at Colorful Creations and I thought I would show you the layout I did, going off the sketch 🙂

I had never really done alot of these.  I use sketches on my own all the time but not in a group.  So I panicked and thought I had to have a wreath of flowers!  LoL!   She said I just take the sketch as a spin off for an idea.  This is what I came up with!

I just love this picture and felt like it deserved a layout of it’s own.  I was happy to look back and hadn’t scrapped it already, it has been on my mind all week!  Thank you Paula for choosing me!

Scrap to Treasure “Anything Goes” Blog Hop

It’s that time of month again showing projects from our little pieces of scraps!  Your host today is Robin one step back at Scrap and Chat  , she is having a great give away that you don’t want to miss!  I am going to make this a quick post today so I will get straight to the projects… I have made two to inspire you the first one is  a layout  inspired from my new doodle and scrapbooking books.

It obviously is not finished because July isn’t over with, but I just used scraps and resized photos to punch.IMG_0511-2

Monochromatic Blog Hop from Scraps to Treasures team

Hi!  This is Lissa and I want to welcome you to the Scraps To Treasure Team’s Monochromatic Blog Hop.  Our goal at Scraps to Treasures is to use up all our scraps and leftover embellishments to create wonderful layouts, cards and other projects.  This month we are doing that using different shades of only one color.

Up for grabs is this RAK from our hostess, Paula at Precious Pages by Paula  that will be going out to one lucky hopper that is a follower of all the blogs in the hop and has left a comment for each entry.  More information below…don’t wanna miss out!

For my entry I created a double-sided layout using an all time classic favorite, shades of grey
