Just another football Sunday

I thought I would share this layout with you.  I met a gal on Juliana’s team that gave me a PS template and thought I would try it.  While we were chatting I had to tuck my daughter in and as I was going through the hall I saw this photo opportunity I couldn’t let go!  Sundays are pretty intense around here with Fantasy football going on.  My boy is 15 and he manages a small team of 4, thinking about taking on 12 next year.  Dad says he is a great manager , he even has my son help him with the team he has at work because he was loosing until Collin took over.  They are both still in this far in the game so I he isn’t doing to bad.  The boy is sooo smart with football I swear he knows every player, all their stats and history.  I don’t even know how he knows all this.  He can recognize them at a glance.  Well, at least I don’t have worry about the girls getting in the way 😉 Since he says that sports are more important!  Love that boy!

TheManager

I have been doing so many cute little duck tape crafts and not posting them, I should more often but I think that they so to silly to post but ya never know when someone is going to like it and inspire them so here is my daughter’s chapstick, my boy unwrapped it and tore off most the wrap so I fixed it pretty for her!

Do you have Fantasy Football going on in your house?  Is it just an emotional roller coaster or what?  I try to relate with my boy it was hi-lar-ious going through YouTube Gieko commercials with him one night.  My boy is like a comedian as it is, “Gimme some cold cuts” and the shuffle is big around here.  My albino boy wants beautiful dreads… on and on.. to funny.  I never laughed so hard when I woke up the day after Halloween and he had my witches wig on and a football helmet, he actually went outside and played with that thing on!  He said he was going to wear it for his coach one day but I don’t think he ever did!  Never a day without a laugh from him!  If you watch football at all or listen to the men in your house you will know what I am sayin’!   Basketball tryouts are next week so the rolls are going to get really crazy around here.  He will try out, says he doesn’t think he will make it but at least he can say he tried.  If not I think he will try and go for manager, he is short and has a bad knee, poor kid wants to be tall soooo bad. I told him he can’t help his height but he can help his speed.

Enough babbling on.  Just a proud mamma.   Thanks for looking!  If you have football on, do you craft while the boys watch? What is the craft of the day?  Or the good food of the day?

Until next time..

One heck of a digital scrapbooker’s dream sale going on now!

I am sad to see her go, as she is so talented and I feel so honored to have been on her team.  She found me through a design team call but asked me if I wanted to be a blog writer instead.  She had gone through my blog and she actually read some of the tutorials and looked into my blog before asking me to if I was interested, as she had plenty of designers to choose from.  I was so complemented I felt like I was writing for this Brazilian rock star!  Well at first I didn’t know she also does web design and got into photography professionally, the last couple of years of being on her team I have seen her photography grow tremendously.  She has decided that all 3 are just to much and from personal experience I understand you can’t do it all.  The photography is an addiction all on it’s own, and whole team is sad to see her leave designing kits.  So I thought I would post her amazing sale.  Just click on the image and it will take you to her Facebook page.

My tryout layout

I am sure there are more but I will cry trying to dig up all these projects because being on her team has meant a lot to me!

Until next time!

It has been forever since I have posted! Scrapbook layout inspiration, or is it?

I apologize to my readers, stick with me and I promise I will be back.  I blew up my laptop and desktop with a bad surge protector and just have been grabbing what I can when I can if I can’t craft on a tablet.  Without my own computer and Photoshop on it, I think my mojo has focused a different direction. I have hope though, for a new computer soon we will see!

For now, I am kinda sad because my kids are going through this stage where they don’t want their pictures taken.  My son doesn’t want to be embarrassed by everyone on the football team, which infuriates me because I know all other mom’s are getting them and all I really need is one good one after a game I don’t care how sweaty and tired he looks.  I didn’t get the package and he didn’t do the individual.  He is second string so I don’t even get a alot of photo time in the game.  When he hike’s I can’t even see him but my big lens does come in handy so videos are it.  My daughter.. well a different story but I am hoping to get some today after making this.   I made her a mardi gras mask last night, she likes it so I may get a couple out of her.

I saw this sketch on my facebook page from the Canadian Scrapbooker page.  I love love love them! It instantly inspired me to get up and make a layout.  I feel like my family is disappearing in a block of time since we don’t get out much anymore and do a lot, so our family is disappearing not being documented.  I gave the project life a shot but I am having a hard time with it.  As a photographer most my photos are vertical and they just don’t fit in my pages as easily as most ametuer photographers would be able to just slip them in.  So again I need my photoshop to preplan the pages and print out the little ones, which is annoying.  I don’t want my scrapbooking to die.  I just simply have to figure out what works for me. Plus I am just going to have to force it and think of non expensive ways to play.

I was looking up kids crafts looking for something to do with my daughter, I found some free stuff to trace that is how I came up with some shapes then cut them on the Cameo.

I have been crafting a little, making labels for people that turned out super awesome, a t-shirt transfer for the first time, will be posted this week.  I have done a few things to post soon.  So hang in there.  Hope to see you then!

PICTURE MY LIFE

Today I am going to do something different, Picture my Life pages that I have made from Dr Phil Scraps.  This is the “Later Skater” set, my boy is all boy and this fits him perfectlyPicturemyLife2

Her is the start page, I was toying with the idea of printing a black and white photo blending it on the top of when he was little.  He has loved sports for so long, I think he had the names and the stats down for the Seahawks by the time he was 4.  He loves baseball, football, basketball anything to do with sports he lives and breathes it.

PicturemyLife3

Here is the back side of the opening page, he doesn’t skate board so I will be covering that up with a photo but I will keep the rest!   I love the little interviews the cards provide.

PictureMyLife1

So now he is all grown up!  This is his best game ever.   My first time filling the pages, I printed my photos to small but I know better now!  He has 7 albums of him to himself, then when my daughter came along I slowed down on his albums and tried to give my daughter some of what he has but I haven’t really gotten close to what he went through having a mom as a budding photographer all his life.  He says he is retired, lol.

Later Skater is a great set, when you buy a set of “Picture My Life” themed cards, it comes with page protectors too.  Close to my heart has the best page protectors around in my opinion.  My next post will have the girly version “Chantilly”  I love love love.  As the term is coming to an end you will see these Picture My Life, pocket style scrapping.  Very excited to show of these cool moments even if it’s an every day moment!

Happy Crafting!

CAMP YOUR ADVENTURE ~ HYBRID PROJECT

Hi this is Lissa Marie I am here to show you today a hybrid project that I made with Juliana Kneipp’s, “Camp your Adventure” Digital kit it comes in a bundle or you can buy them separately.  But first of all I want to show you what I have made with this kit!  I found this candy jar at a yard sale thinking I am going to etch something on this but then I was helping out another gal on the blogging team with a project she had planned and got carried away.  I made the shape with the pen tool in Photoshop, then opened up the template (shown below), resized it and clipped it to the shape and started adding in papers and elements! Didn’t it just turn out fabulous?  A little accent of ribbon gave it a pretty look, and printed out some journaling cards so I can have them available as I go, ready to put into the pocket pages!  I do traditional and digital pocket pages, so this is a win win for me!  Have those cards preprinted and write down those moments you don’t want to forget while you are still in the moment and store them for when you are ready to put them with your photos!

This was printed this on photo sticker paper so I can just stick it to the side, but I didn’t realize it wasn’t a flat surface until I had it printed so I used glue dots behind it which worked out just fine!

This is a preview of the whole bundle, it is cram packed full of goodies, printables, pocket cards or a kit with all the papers and goodies.  You can buy them separately or together.

I also used her “alot of photos” template that she had up for iNSD.  I am very pleased the way it turned out.I used the 3rd template shown here

Juliana would love for you to enjoy a printable download provided, I have changed the shape for you since this is not the usual shape you put on a jar or can, to accommodate other types of shaped holders.  You can even use a coffee can if you like.  I have made many pencil holders and such for things like this.   Use your imagination it goes far! You can get even more freebie kits and templates on Julianna’s Blog, she has tons of giveaways if you didn’t already grab them from iNSD!

Happy Hybrid Crafting!

OMG, I don’t know how I am ever going to live the iNSD!

So many freebies and give-aways for digitals everywhere!

Digi Kit, Printables, Papers, Elements, Pocket Cards all on Facebook blog trains, Digital Scrappin’ Freebie Facebook group doesn’t help me stay away from it all, I am finding, games, speed scraps, you name it, it’s everywhere!  Where in the world have I been??

My favorites are the Sweet Shoppe Designs,  Lily Pad, Pixels and Company, The Digi Chick and so many more!

They have something for everyone, and Pinterest is always a killer for free fonts and Pocket Journaling cards any kind of printable you want for anyone who knows how to print an image even without an image editor!

I can say that the mourning over my last failed hard-drive is starting to soothe over!  Kids are gone and I have gone wild on the net!  Digital Pocket Page Protector, Printables, Full Kits, even a little scrappin’ in but I didn’t even use a kit!  Plus I taught myself  how to make digital pocket page protectors on my own so now I have every layout at my finger tips!

There has been some great kits out there, some I almost bought Just Jamie’s May Story Book Collection it’s such a killer deal!  But I held back and collected my favorite newly discovered sites that I downloaded from, subscribed and I can pace myself.  That’s tough to do when you know what great sales there are right now.  My favorite designer of all is having the biggest freebie I have seen on the net, (yes I am partial to her because I blog for her too… I feel like one amazingly lucky girl!)  So I have to share with you her amazing work and her give-away too.  Not just because I blog for her either!  LoL

This opportunity to see her work and fall in love.  If you like vintage, unique, fun, neat things this is the place to go!
