It has been forever since I have posted! Scrapbook layout inspiration, or is it?

I apologize to my readers, stick with me and I promise I will be back.  I blew up my laptop and desktop with a bad surge protector and just have been grabbing what I can when I can if I can’t craft on a tablet.  Without my own computer and Photoshop on it, I think my mojo has focused a different direction. I have hope though, for a new computer soon we will see!

For now, I am kinda sad because my kids are going through this stage where they don’t want their pictures taken.  My son doesn’t want to be embarrassed by everyone on the football team, which infuriates me because I know all other mom’s are getting them and all I really need is one good one after a game I don’t care how sweaty and tired he looks.  I didn’t get the package and he didn’t do the individual.  He is second string so I don’t even get a alot of photo time in the game.  When he hike’s I can’t even see him but my big lens does come in handy so videos are it.  My daughter.. well a different story but I am hoping to get some today after making this.   I made her a mardi gras mask last night, she likes it so I may get a couple out of her.

I saw this sketch on my facebook page from the Canadian Scrapbooker page.  I love love love them! It instantly inspired me to get up and make a layout.  I feel like my family is disappearing in a block of time since we don’t get out much anymore and do a lot, so our family is disappearing not being documented.  I gave the project life a shot but I am having a hard time with it.  As a photographer most my photos are vertical and they just don’t fit in my pages as easily as most ametuer photographers would be able to just slip them in.  So again I need my photoshop to preplan the pages and print out the little ones, which is annoying.  I don’t want my scrapbooking to die.  I just simply have to figure out what works for me. Plus I am just going to have to force it and think of non expensive ways to play.

I was looking up kids crafts looking for something to do with my daughter, I found some free stuff to trace that is how I came up with some shapes then cut them on the Cameo.

I have been crafting a little, making labels for people that turned out super awesome, a t-shirt transfer for the first time, will be posted this week.  I have done a few things to post soon.  So hang in there.  Hope to see you then!

Entering a challenge folks..

Shocking news!  I rarely enter challenges but my friend Cicily sent this to me and said this sketch is sooo you!  Meaning DCWV since I own just about every stack they have… well maybe not but I do own alot!  I posted on Facebook and Sharing on Instagram to be sure I get my entry in!   I hope you like it!  Thank you Cicily for encouraging me to put in pictures, lol..  I wasn’t going to but she insisted!  😀

Here is the sketch…

DCWV Challenge

This came easy for me, although there is more that I could have should have done.. you know how that goes but they say don’t over think it!IMG_3753

This was a blast because I am usually the photographer, not on the other side of the lens…

oh what I do with my time, lol..

I just love this stack, I have made a clipboard and notebook with this stack as well!

Are you going to enter the challenge too?

Yesterday I showed you the 6×6 girl stack from Recollections now today…

I will show you what I have created with it!

I have been busily trying to super organize my photos, I found a pocket file folder at the Silhouette store that just rocks.

Since I do everything chronilogical, I have the printed photos by the month filed in a big black Creative Memories box.

Now that I found this file to cut the folders I am going to be busy making folders by event as well, a little crazy I know but it works for me.  I love to organize, I just need to learn to stay organized!   Anyway, I have been trying to get that ready for the family album once I finish the baby album in Studio J.  Then I will be going back to mixed media as usual, chronically speaking!  (Doesn’t mean it will go in that exact order!)

Well, Since I shared the 6×6 stack with you.  I did that because I had a friend who sent me a few 6×6’s and it took me awhile to figure out how to use them.  I found that I love doing the 4 pages on a 12×12, it give is alot of color and interest.  I was cutting them down to fit perfect, this time I just simply overlapped them.

I just grabbed a couple of photos of my youngest when she was littler, they were sitting right on the desk saying “take me, take me”, I am not sure if I will keep them on this layout since I believe I have already scrapped this set, but I will figure it out.   I do know they need to be matted if I am going to keep them.  I hope you like it!

Are you looking forward to the weekend?  I live for weekends!  Hope to be creating in some shape or form. My son has his first football game this weekend, how exciting!

Happy Crafting!

So as for my project today, I did not title my layout, but I did journal it.  Because he is the love of my life.  We don’t have many pictures togeher so this is what I’ve got and thought it turned out very nice too! I love scrapbooking our special days together as well.

Using DCWV new Denim Stack it was so fun to create this layout, putting the mesh ribbon on the the strip to make it more interesting , a little tan Jute to tie the bow on the button and some shiny mesh ribbon in the tag I created.  I have also used the iRock, some rustic looking brads and eyelets.

Jessi is giving away some goodies from her store to one lucky person who comments on all the blogs in the hop as well as you must be a follower.
