I was chosen to be a guest designer at Colorful Creations and I thought I would show you the layout I did, going off the sketch 🙂
I had never really done alot of these. I use sketches on my own all the time but not in a group. So I panicked and thought I had to have a wreath of flowers! LoL! She said I just take the sketch as a spin off for an idea. This is what I came up with!
I just love this picture and felt like it deserved a layout of it’s own. I was happy to look back and hadn’t scrapped it already, it has been on my mind all week! Thank you Paula for choosing me!
Valentines Day is right around the corner, so we are getting ready, by showing our valentine creations. You should be if you have just stumbled upon the hop, you take a look here and then step back to Jessi’s blog at My Life in Arts n Crafts and away you go!
I have used the several things from her Etsy shop, in this project, as I will list below. Jessi has all new products over there, when you get done it sure would be worth going and taking a look! I love being on her DT as she has exposed me to new things that I never thought I would use, now I love having them and love the opertunity to use them all the time.
So as for my project today, I did not title my layout, but I did journal it. Because he is the love of my life. We don’t have many pictures togeher so this is what I’ve got and thought it turned out very nice too! I love scrapbooking our special days together as well.
Using DCWV new Denim Stack it was so fun to create this layout, putting the mesh ribbon on the the strip to make it more interesting , a little tan Jute to tie the bow on the button and some shiny mesh ribbon in the tag I created. I have also used the iRock, some rustic looking brads and eyelets.
Jessi is giving away some goodies from her store to one lucky person who comments on all the blogs in the hop as well as you must be a follower.
Extra entry , OMG that means you have three chances to win!! Once you’ve gotten through the hop, head back over to Jessi’s and comment again saying what product you’d like to win. So you might wanna check out the store and decide. One lucky person will win their choice. Make sure you leave a way to get in contact you.
If you saw my post earlier this week I spent a night and took 6-8 coordinating papers and just started scrapping away. I love to do this to see how much I can make with what I have. Making layouts, cards, bookmarks, anything with those papers only, not mixing in any other papers with what I am doing. Twine or buttons, ribbon or any embellishment is ok, but my favorite layouts are quick and easy ones so I can feel like I got something done.
So this was a part of my scrapmaina night… adding to the card and layout collection yet to be posted.
I am in the process of printing little photos for the less patterned paper then one big one for the middle well 3×3 would be big for this layout. Tasty treats. Fun in the sun it’s summer time here!
Jearise in Lorby’s World will be giving out a special prize to one special winner just for leaving a comment and becoming a follower. Sew – A needle pulling thread; unless of course you’re a crafter. That’s when sewing becomes more than a needle pulling thread. It becomes whatever your mind can conceive and to show this, I have a great bunch of ladies with projects that show their INDIVIDUAL take on what “Anything Stitched” means.
If you came from L. Miriam –http://miriamscreations.blogspot.com you are in the right spot. I hope you will hop along with us today to see what these carfters have stitched up to show off. Your hostess, Jearise in Lorby’s World is the beginning so please start there. She has a wonderful little gift for one lucky winner and all you have to do is hop through and leave a note on her blog and become a follower if you’re not one already.
I have just made a very simple layout with my usual DCWV stack, this one is the homespun mat stack and the awesome 12×12 textured stack for the background. it has been while since I took out my sewing machine and just went for it on my pretty paper without practicing first, I don’t think I will do that again but it still turned out ok. Lots of journaling room and cute little fiskar butterfly punches. Using Twine from My life in arts n’ crafts to tie the final touch of a button. I know I am out of season but if others can do Christmas in July I can do Easter in July! lol.. seriously going through the pics, even though my son isn’t looking up, I wanted him in the layout. Oh so long ago, time flies.
Even though the layout is simple, it is ok with me. I am a simple girl but I can say this isn’t my best.
Thank you SEW much for hopping by today. I do not have any candy today but I surely would enjoy your subscripton or a simple comment to let me know what you like or dislike about my layout.. If you don’t see the reply button on the bottom of the post it will be at the top, depending what browser you are using. If you would like to subscribe by email or network blogs it is at the top right of the post. I blog for the love of showing off the fun stuff!
I normally don’t like to use one photo for a layout, but sometimes there are special pictures for it, especially now that I don’t scrap every photo I take like I use to.
There were many photos taken that day but looking through my inspirational sketches and wanting to break open my new DCWV Stack 8, using Winter lace, and Cricut Craftroom basics for the font. It was quick and easy and fun to put some bling on, I had to do it! I am sure I will have to add another matching layout for more photos, but for now this is good for me!
I hope you are having a great weekend. I am happy to have an extra day off on Monday, hopefully I will get something done.
In my world that is usually a little bit of everything and it always feels like alot of nothing!
Thanks for stopping by! I will have more soon that I have been working on, while still in the layout mood lately, so stay tuned!
