Hybrid projects – Doggie ID TAGS

Well earlier I announced that I applied for a Ct Call for a designer at the “Sweet Shoppe” and holy cow!  She picked me!  I thought I was going to faint!  She rocks in digital design!

So, with that being said, I pat myself on the back and now I am here because I got chosen for a blogging gal position and here is on of my post!

Juliana asked her Facebook fans what they would like to see in a new kit, I responded, “Something with puppies”.  Sure enough she listened.  A delightful kit for any pet lover is right here.

In her brand new release

Fuzzy Friends

they provided the cutest dog ID tags.

I hung them on my board so you can get a close up of what they look like as a finished product.

How did you do that you ask?  Easy!

I took the  tag and opened it up in my photo editor, resized to 3 inches wide, it was already 299.99 dpi

Added the text to the tag, then linked them together dragging it onto the 8.5 x 11 canvas at 300 dpi

Since I have two new puppies I had to make two or you make extras since they are not metal but we are going to make them somewhat durable.  I flattened the layers and printed these on a thick white cardstock.

Now I made one of these last night and I just printed and cut it out with my Honeybee scissors and a hole punch, but I have a Silhouette Cameo cutter and decided to print and cut with the cameo for these two.

Once I did that, I sandwiched them in between some clear shelf liner from the dollar store and flattened them with a scraper like you would do a vinyl project, no bubbles.

No they are not really embossed it is just the amazing  job on the making of the tag that makes them look like it!

I then hand cut this out with my scissors and hole punch.  I could have laminated it but the laminate can get  hard and can be scratchy on the puppy and this stuff just clings to the cardstock and makes it more durable.

Then there you have it, hook a little key ring you can get at almost any store a box of rings and then all you have to do is put it on the leash!

In about 15 minutes I had something to use for our time away from home and it looks great!

Plus you can make fabulous pages time after time with this kit.
